Katherine Weddleton won the second-place prize in the “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks” $20 instant ticket game, scoring $1 million, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery. She chose to cash out her prize, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
Weddleton plans to use her winnings to go on a Disney cruise.
The lucky ticket was bought at the 7-Eleven located at 320 Neponset Avenue in Dorchester. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for its part in the big win.
Three $10 million prizes remain in the “$10,000,000 Lucky Bucks” game, along with eight $1 million prizes.
